This plant is truly the definition of invasive. Starting at around a square foot or less, after just one growing season it can spread up to an acre. They grow in groups that get up to 6 ft tall. It can take over a forest floor, crowding out native plants that are key for the local ecosystem. The plants are known for their thin stems, small white flowers, and spade shaped leaves. Seeds can be spread by human activities, so watch where you’re stepping and check your shoes!
