Rejected Project Proposal
Proposed Project Location:
SoFi Stadium (home of the Los Angeles Chargers and the Los Angeles Rams)
Concept:
I proposed a wall piece and hanging porcelain ceramic mobile piece. I was excited to create a large-scale permanent wall piece with options of translating my work onto glass, ceramic, or aluminum printing. In addition to the wall piece was a companion hanging sculptural ceramic piece. The goal of the piece was to reference the landscape of Los Angeles connecting the geology, land, flora/ fauna and interest in space (JPL/ NASA).
"I Regret to Inform You..." Artist Response
It's always difficult at first when I find out about not getting the project. The application, proposal to interview process is extensive and you really put everything into it as if you got the project. Oftentimes after the rejection, I just feel defeated. But I always learn something new and am grateful for the projects I have been commissioned.
