America's involment and outcome of the war- For the second time in the 20th century, the United States became involved in a devastating world conflict. By 1944 America led the world in arms production, making more than enough to fill its military needs. At the same time, the United States was providing its allies in Great Britain and the Soviet Union with critically needed supplies. More than 16 million Americans were used to defend the nation from enemy bombing or invasions, in which 405,399 killed in action and 671,278 wounded however it was a signicant help in the ending result of victory. All in all, in America, WWII led to a more progressive view on America society regarding race and gender and ended the recovery from the Great Depression.
