West Block: 331 - 335 W. Main St.

Look back across the street at the West Block, or West Hotel, built in 1889 by Edward West who made his money running sheep on government open range. Typically Victorian with its mixture of styles, it is still a handsome and interesting building. The building is still rococo but much less so since the top of the façade was modernized. Formerly, three ornate false gables decorated the front and a minaret-like tower rose on the corner.
