Nubian Series

My signature technique in abstract paintings, whether a vibrant palette or strictly black and white, includes a combination of tight geometric forms and intuitively applied strokes. Most of these pieces contain, in varying degrees of subtlety, patterns of dots, which are related to Aboriginal esthetics. This is especially true of my Nubian series. Also, these pieces reflect my fondness for the palette of some ancient Nubian art – the reds and ochres used in the decoration of dwellings and in the body art of the Nubian warriors.
