Universal Bunnies

The image in this series is deliberately ambiguous. The cartoon-like figure refers to the way Black people have been referred to as “jungle bunny” buffoons. But the good news is that these “bunnies” have progressed in assimilating into the mainstream of tradespeople, doctors, business owners, and more. It’s a way to say, “Look, folks, we are everywhere. You might as well get used to us.” The family of Universal Bunnies, The Ancestors, is a reminder that a family is a family, no matter who or where the people may be.
