Hotel Louise

169 West Main Street

Hotel Louise opened in March 1903 with Mr. A. A. Springs as proprietor. Upon its opening, the Greenville Reflector stated, "… Hotel Louise, a hostelry that any city in the South might well be proud of. Mr. A. A. Springs, the proprietor, is a genial, courteous gentleman of the old school, and the hospitality so abundant beneath his root is a joy and solace to the wayworn traveler. The Louise is a strictly modern hotel, situated on Main street in the heart of the city. The service in the dining room is without fault, and Washington and the traveling public are appreciative of the advantages and comforts of Mr. Spring's house."
