Things Best Forgotten

Triggers are real and for the wrong person a sentence from a book or a scene from a show can fester and latch onto our memories, reminding of us potential tools for self-harm. There have been many things I have read or watched or heard in my life that the suicidal parts of my brain have held onto for a time when they might come in handy. It is important to recognize these things and let them be forgotten. While one can find great solace in relatable media, triggering information can also be very dangerous for individuals with suicidal ideation.
