Welcome to Ophelia Parrish! There is a large Performance Hall for music ensemble performance. Music majors spend a lot of time in one of the many practice rooms, each with a piano, or in their faculty advisor’s office for solo lessons.
Ophelia Parrish is home to the other arts too! The James G. Severns Theatre is the hub for theatre on campus and is where mainstage productions are performed. Students are involved in every production from costume creation and light design to directing and acting.
The art students have access to painting, digital design, ceramics, sculpture, fiber, and printmaking studios here. Student art fills the halls of the building. Plus, the art gallery in Ophelia Parrish displays traveling shows, faculty exhibits, and student work and is free for the community.
At Truman, you don’t have to be a major to be involved in the fine arts. So many talented students from all across campus find their creative outlet in Ophelia Parrish.
