Violette is home to the School of Business, math, computer science, statistics, accounting, and education classes. As one of the larger academic buildings on campus, it is always buzzing during the academic year.
Violette Hall once had an interior courtyard but was renovated to cover and close the space. Now, there is beautiful exposed brick in the center of the building and also the biggest lecture hall on campus, called Violette 1000.
However, with Truman’s small class sizes, it is more common to find guest speakers or organization meetings in the lecture hall than actual classes. Employer presentations from companies like Boeing have been held in there and organization meetings as well.
The upper level has access to a lounge, computer lab with printers, and our faculty offices. Student can visit professors in their offices for homework help, career advice, or just to chat.
