Arno Road to Highway 99

This is the last stretch of the driving tour! If you head north on Highway 99, toward Sacramento, you will pass again through the heart of Valensin Ranch, with Horseshoe Lake on your right. On the 99 North, just past the Dillard Road exit, you will cross the overflow channel of the Cosumnes River. This was the river's primary route before 1920. Several agricultural tracts exist in the area, and there are beautiful stands of heritage oak woodland and mixed riparian forest.

To return to the Preserve's Visitor Center, head south on Highway 99, then west on TwinCities Road. Continue until you reach Franklin Boulevard. Turn left onto Franklin and follow the road until you reach the Visitor Center on the left.
