From Michelle: “I bought my first MINI Cooper in 2014.  I searched social media for MINI Coopers and found a group called MINI Takes The States.  I was intrigued by their cross-country adventures.  My husband and I started saving right away for the 2016 MTTS.  We decided we were going all the way, track to track.  We found the MINI community both friendly and welcoming and knew right away we were making lifelong friendships and new adventures were on the horizon.”

After totaling her first MINI, Michelle and Mark found the 2017 F56S in Tampa. Michelle wanted a pirate theme for the car and settled on Captain Jack. Captain Jack’s graphics were done by Fred Campbell of ThunderRoad FX in Jacksonville, Florida in 2019. Captain Jack has been very popular with their MINI friends and beyond.  

“We have a lot of fun with Captain Jack, and he gets a lot of attention.  He has been to several events including going to Canada. I have a Skeleton dressed as Captain Jack that also comes along with us on our travels. I picked the number 7 in honor of my brother who has passed, it was his favorite number.”
