The MINI Cooper S Convertible is a pure four-passenger convertible that had been engineered from the ground up to be fun-to-drive cars while offering outstanding safety and practicality. The design of the MINI Convertible does not compromise appearance, functionality, and engineering, and remains honest to the MINI concept of go-kart-like performance with a recognizable “MINI” appearance from every angle.
For 2006 the MINI Cooper S Convertible was now available with the popular John Cooper Works kit factory installed option. The package not only includes the engine performance kit, but a limited-slip differential, and the JCW brake kit.
In 2006, this car was delivered as a stock MINI Cooper JCW Convertible in Chili Red with a Black leather interior. At the time it was one of the most expensive MINIs you could buy.
From Moises: “It is a money pit, but I love it. I put too much money into this car. I found this car in 2020 and refurbished the entire car to where it is now. I went through all the mechanicals, added big brakes, new wheels, and tires, and repainted the whole car. I also added the leather JCW dash and a GP1 intercooler. I had all the chrome and silver bits of the interior and exterior painted black, added custom floormats, a VIP strut mount, and had the gauges changed to black faces, and the chrome roll bars painted red.”
Moises added every available JCW part that was ever available for the car including the aero kit, rally lights, rear fog light, and JCW steering wheel.
