BABY ALLIGATORS

These baby alligators will be considered babies until they are 6 feet long. It’s hard to believe they will one day be as long as a car! They will grow about a foot per year until they are 10-13 ft long and weigh 800 pounds!

What’s the difference between alligators and crocodiles? While they are both crocodilians, there are some distinct differences.

Alligators have wider, U-shaped snouts, while crocodiles are more pointed and V-shaped.

Alligators hang out in freshwater marshes and lakes, while crocodiles tend to live in saltwater habitats.
