Primarily used by Juan as a workroom for miscellaneous repairs and bookkeeping, the space also doubled as a bedroom. Juan was a skilled craftsman, blacksmith, and musician. He played the accordion, violin, and guitar. The desk in the corner was built by Juan. Also on display is a saddle, as well as a spool bed for siestas. A truth window was created for visitors to reveal the original sun-dried adobe brick construction of the home. The square adobe bricks measure approximately 22 inches in width.
