William V. Williams

This is the final resting place of William V Williams and his one-year-old daughter Lotta Leona.

William was born in Cornwall England in 1846 and came to this country when he was a boy, and to Silver in 1868, in the prime of his younger manhood. He was a resident of Silver City until 1883 when he bought the Jordan Valley hotel and managed it until his death. He was married in 1884 to Miss Bretta Larsen whom he now leaves a widow with one child to mourn his loss. He was a most generous friend, but a good hater of everything narrow-minded or mean. For a number of years he suffered from rheumatism, and of late had added to this a disease of the stomach, which at times made his sufferings almost unbearable though he remained cheerful which has been a continuous surprise to his friends. He died in 1891 at the age of 45.
