Miguel Leonis was a six-foot-four French-Basque and Espiritu Chijulla Leonis was his Chumash Native American common law wife. The property also has livestock authentic to the period—including Merino sheep, Longhorn Cattle, Percheron Horses, Angora and Nubian goats, and chickens.
