Guest Story 4: Molly

Molly had just left an abusive relationship, and was worried about making ends meet and surviving on her own. She came to nourish.NJ looking for guidance and a shoulder to lean on, which is exactly what she received from our outreach team. Immediately, we connected Molly with a local counseling agency, which helped her feel safe and regain her sense of self. With new confidence, Molly began the job hunt and was able to secure an interview. Our staff supported her every step of the way, including hosting mock interviews with her and even taking her for a manicure! With her head held high, Molly walked into her job interview feeling better than she had in years… and she landed the job! She loves her new position, saying she works in an office full of kind people who have become her friends. Molly is thankful for nourish.NJ and, most importantly, is proud that she was able to help herself. Molly’s story exemplifies one of the many ways that we help our guests to build more stable, independent lives. Our outreach staff was able to enrich Molly from the inside out! Sometimes, just knowing that our team is behind them, supporting them and believing in them, is what makes the biggest difference in guests' lives.
