18. Torre Real | Royal Tower

The Royal Tower is located at the opposite end of the Tower of Keep or Alcáçova. It provides a magnificent view, crowned by the Pena Palace. 

With the Palace of Pena forming the backdrop, this would have been a preferred place for the leisure time of Ferdinand II, whose recognised artistic talents gained him the common name of King-Artist, and who would come here to find inspiration for his creations.
