Hawthorn, Winterking

This is the Winterking Hawthorn, or Crataegus viridis 'Winterking'. This is a hardy deciduous tree known for its year-round ornamental appeal. In spring, it displays clusters of fragrant white flowers that attract a variety of pollinators. As the season progresses, the tree develops glossy green foliage, which turns a vibrant yellow in the fall. Come winter, the wide vase-shaped form with angular branches becomes a noticeable feature, especially as it's adorned with bright red berries that persist through the cold months.
