3. Haul Wagon

The rock mined from Castle Dome was sent to San Diego for smelting via a haul wagon as you see here. Smelting it the processing of seperating the metals from the rock using high heat. The material from the mines was loaded into the largest ore wagons in the US. The one in front of you is from 1890. Notice that the front wheels can rotate indepentant of the wagon. This allowed for taking tight turns. Also look at the thickness of the rear springs. This wagon can carry 10,000 lbs.
