Hornbeam, Rockhampton Red

Here we have the Rockhampton Red Hornbeam, or Carpinus betulus 'Rock Hampton'. It is a deciduous tree prized for its vivid red to orange foliage in autumn. This variety of European hornbeam grows in a graceful, pyramidal form, reaching 40 to 50 feet in height and spreading 32 to 40 feet wide. It also features smooth, gray bark, adding visual interest year-round.
