Serviceberry, Cumulus Alleghany

Presenting the Cumulus Alleghany Serviceberry, scientifically known as Amelanchier laevis 'Cumulus'. This cultivar of the Alleghany Serviceberry typically reaches a height of 15 to 25 feet, growing with a straight, upright form. Its smooth, striking gray bark adds a distinctive visual appeal. In the spring, small, dark green leaves with smooth edges and an oval shape emerge after delicate white flowers that bloom briefly. The tree also produces black-red berries, a prime food source for birds and safe for human consumption. As autumn arrives, the leaves transform into stunning shades of red, orange, and yellow. The Cumulus Alleghany Serviceberry is a beautiful and beneficial addition to any landscape, providing seasonal interest and supporting local wildlife.
