Women's Recovery Room

This room was home to two or three beds for women to recover from surgery. Due to lack of room it is now used to display different items. The one wall is an honor of the nurse and the many duites she was called on to preform. There is a photo display of nurses from a variety of places. There is a nurse in authentic uniform including her cap pin and cape donated by a nurse from Lincoln, Arkansas. There is aslo a wall of pictures of area hospitals. The safe was used for narcotics at the Elizabeth Hospital in Prairie Grove.

The herb case features use of herbs in medicine. Here you can read about the more common herbs used by doctors and pharmacists. You will see the actual plants growing in the herb garden out in the back yard.
