The School House

This house is more commonly known as "The German Schmear House."  It was owned by Max Lucado's daughter Sara.  She didn't like the red brick, so Chip went ahead and "schmeared" it.  The look is actually quite beautiful.

This is also one of the most popular houses from the show.  So much so, that they have turned it into a vibrant bed and breakfast.  They are so busy that sometimes, they are booked solid for the next 24-months.  If you're patient, you will find a cancellation or two to help you plan your vacation here.

During peak season, the vacation rental goes for up to $500 a night.  There is also a 2-person loft in the back of the house that they rent out for an additional $95 a night on average.

Back in the day, this house was the only 2-story home in the area.  And if you remember the episode, they talk about how pretty the trees are in this area as well.
