The 5th Street Story

Located at  - 1403 N 5th St, Waco, TX 76707.

Otherwise known as The Mailander House, this house was built in the early nineteen-hundreds and was quite the fixer-upper.  If you remember the episode, it was the one where Joanna put the old, antique bicycle up in the office.

It allows us to tell you that you needed two things to appear on an episode of Fixer Upper.  You had to own your house.  But you also had to be able to afford the renovations.  They could cost you anywhere from $30,000 to $400,000 an episode.

The owners of this house, Dave and Marla Morrow purchased this house for $35,000 and needed only $65,000 for renovations.  This gave them a grand total of $100,000.

Since the TV show aired, Dave has been dabbling in politics and has even ran for Mayor of the City of Waco.
