The 3 Little Pigs House

Before we tell you the story about this house, it's important that you understand how the show Fixer Upper really worked.  You had to already own your house before you applied to be on the show.  All that business about picking between 3 houses, is what we like to call, "Hollywood Magic."  It wasn't real, it wasn't true, but it made it more fun, and it made it more interesting.

If you remember this episode, it featured the Downs family from California.  They bought a house from Magnolia Realty.  They applied to be on the show, and Chip and Joanna thought it would make a great episode.

Well, the Downs family, moved to Waco, Texas.  They appeared on the episode and moved into their house.  That's when something else happened, a drunk driver came barrelling down the street, and drove straight into their house.  He went over the grass, over the brick, and right into the left window, right into the living room. 

That's when the Downs family decided to sue Chip and Joanna Gaines for misrepresentation.  Chip and Joanna settled the lawsuit and actually bought this house back.  Since, they have sold the house to a local business owner, Scott Byrne... and Scott currently rents this house out on VRBO for up to $400 a night.
