CT Scanner

There is a Carbon Monoxide fire extinguisher on the LEFT when you walk into the CT scanner room from CC 7 to 10.

Because there is no formal fire door between cc 7 to 10 and the CT scanner, we have to include this in our fire walk through. The new door at the back of the CT scanner office, which is now swip entry, is also a fire door.

Do you know where the duress alarm is located in the CT scanner?

There are 3 of them; the 1st is next to the office door on the right. The 2nd is located to the left of the CT scanner operators computer.

Above this is the Medical Gas Valve Box, this holds the oxygen, medical air, nitrous oxide gas and suction shut off valves. If this gets turned off, patients on oxygen will need portable O2.

The office is where the Emergency procedures box and evacuation map are located. We evacuate to north block radiology, ultrasound rooms.

The 3rd Duress Alarm is in the antechamber, located on the wall opposite the Radiology Reg desk area.
