8. Disengagement (2020 - 2024)

The last exhibition room consists of a set of images captured from the social media and the news websites in the last few years, namely in 2020-2024. A large political coalition brings together the Social Democrat and the National Liberal parties, which only cause a huge sense of frustration among the population. The topic of anti-corruption is forgotten and the society embarks on a new transition, marked by the tension between traditionalism and progressivism.

A new generation comes to the fore and cast their first votes in 2024, those born after 2000. It is a generation for which the European rights and freedoms, and the very idea of freedom are deeper seated than they are for those born before 2000, a generation that fully absorbed the fact that Romania is a European, free and democratic country.
