Historic Fort Cummings

Historic Fort Cummings:

Established in 1839, Fort Cummings was used during the Second Seminole War, and represents Lake Alfred's earliest known history. A famous meeting between Seminole Chief Coacoochee and Colonel William Jenkins Worth occurred at the fort in 1841.
