Like Wall’s other work, it combines geometric elements, often created from sliced sections of industrial steel tubes or I-beams. Wall’s work ranges from tabletop scale to monumental outdoor installations.
Throughout his career, Wall's work has been purely abstract, without reference to the outside world, or human figures. He once said: "For me anyway the important breakthrough in contemporary sculpture has been the disappearance of figurative and associative imagery."

Neubert” Neubert writes Brian Wall is an intuitive artist, arriving at “a kind of rightness” through improvisation. “Simplicity” is a word he uses often, and it is a clue to his sculptural objective. His best work has been described as representing an art of balance and tension at rest.

About The Artist: Brian Wall is a British-born American sculptor now living in California. His work consists mainly of abstract welded steel constructions, and his career stretches over six decades.His art career stretches over seven decades from the modernist art center of St. Ives, Cornwall, in the ’50s, to the Swinging London art scene in the ‘60s, to Berkeley, California, at the height of the counterculture revolution of the ‘70s. Wall was Head of Sculpture at London’s Central School of Art and Design and was a professor at the University of California. He has had numerous solo shows, and his sculptures reside in many private and public collections.
