RED-EYED TREE FROGS

By day, red-eyed tree frogs vanish into the leaves, folding in their colorful legs and closing their red eyes to blend in. At night, they come alive, leaping through the rainforest in search of insects. Their sticky toe pads let them climb and cling to leaves with ease. Their famous red eyes aren’t just for looks—they help startle predators in a flash, giving the frog time to escape. This “startle coloration” is a clever survival trick!
