The white marble monument by Emil Fuchs, an Austrian-born sculptor and painter based in England, is a memorial to Maud Ashley, wife of Wilfred Ashley, Lord Mount Temple. She died from tuberculosis in 1911 at the age of 30, leaving two daughters: to the right Mary (later Lady Delamere) and to the left Edwina Ashley, who married Louis Mountbatten and became Countess Mountbatten of Burma.
St George’s Chapel contains 'Christus Rex' (Christ the King), another statue by Peter Eugene Ball. It was installed here in 2013.
The window above shows St Michael the Archangel fighting the dragon; it was made in 1897 by Charles Eamer Kempe. Notice the beautiful peacock feathers, a device often used by Kempe.
Below this are a selection of medieval floor tiles from the 13th and 14th centuries.
On the wall nearby is a board listing all the known abbesses of Romsey.
