Bell Gate Lawn

The Bellgate Lawn, north of the Kitchen Garden, was originally used to hold maturing plants. In the 1980s, it featured a large beech tree and a bench where Mrs. Congreve would check her post, with 200 roses planted at the lawn’s base. A storm later split the beech tree, removing it but opening up a scenic view across the River Suir.
