Stanton was one of the organizers of the Seneca Falls Convention. She was the president of the National Woman's Suffrage Association for 20 years and worked closely with Susan B. Anthony. While on her honeymoon she met Lucretia Mott, which began her fight for women’s suffrage. She was an excellent writer and public speaker, and a radical thinker.
