Guest Bedroom and Main Stairway

The guest bedroom is also decorated to the period when Oramil and Myrtie McHenry lived in the mansion. After Oramil’s death, Myrtie’s mother came to stay and occupied this room until her death in 1910.

The bedroom set is mahogany and was manufactured by Berkey and Gay Company of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The wallpaper is a reproduction by Carter and Company. The rug is an oriental one of the period.

The artwork consists of the work of talented amateur artists along with a variety of prints.

The flag has 38 stars. It was the official flag of the United States from 1876 to 1889.

The stained glass window is original to the mansion but has had some of the colored panes replaced.
