GoGreenLocally org is a 501c3 environmental education Nevada non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting sustainable living and local eco-action in Northern Nevada and cities and states across the U.S. Founded in 2020, the organization aims to raise awareness about the importance of working to save the planet and encouraging people to adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle and gathering with others locally to share initiatives that interest them.
GoGreenLocally has launched several campaigns to promote eco-action in local communities, including this new “Reno/Sparks Green Scene” self-guided audio tour, which showcases sustainable practices, volunteering, learning opportunities, and eco-friendly businesses in the local community. They are working to share this model with other cities across the U.S. to help local people find more opportunities to live sustainably and engage with their local community.
Their first and ongoing initiative of GoGreenLocally is monthly sharing a curated list of local green event lists with people who have subscribed to one of 60 online hubs in cities, regions, and states across the U.S. These lists are for people that want to be made aware of local opportunities and virtual events to get involved with. Somewhat like the eco-interest concierge, GoGreenLocally has shared over 15,000 local events with people that feel passionate that earth care and repair action isn’t optional, but can and should be meaningful and enjoyable.
GoGreenLocally is dedicated to promoting new and existing environmental initiatives, groups, and businesses that are committed to sincerity, community empowerment, and working in harmony with nature to preserve and improve the health of both people and the planet. They also offer an expanding resource library and eco-action resource shop to help people with support, information, training, and digital resources who actively want to engage in efforts to restore and protect the environment for the benefit of present and future generations.
