A herd of milkcows was paraded up the mountain summer days by Huber children, one as young as six. Barefoot, they sometimes frolicked with their freinds whose cows cooperatively were kept. Alone in Boner Hollow or the woods, the children sang their Father's songs, and watched for wolves and cougars on the ridge. And for refreshment, they drank juice of aspen trees.
Ho the herdbells are ringing, and the world looks so gay!
The aspen is medicinal for skin parasitic woes.
