On May 21, 1966, the official minutes of the first Board of Directors of the Torrevieja Nautical Club were signed in the Torrevieja casino and in 1967 its headquarters began to be built, which at first was to be built in the old Eras de la Sal, but permits were denied, delaying the project. It was inaugurated on May 30, 1969 by Gregorio López-Bravo, Minister of Foreign Affairs. In 1971 the title of "Real" was granted to him, happening to denominate Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja.
The club manages 570 moorings in the Torrevieja Marina, where the Marina Salinas and the International Marina also operate moorings. All club´s moorings have drinking water and electricity, a security system with a closed TV circuit and private docksiders, night crew service, and a fire-fighting system. The club has a boat for assistance at sea (only for members), a 25-ton crane, first-aid kit, changing rooms, and laundry. The maximum length allowed is 50 m, and the maximum draft is 4.5 m. 5 m mouth. The marina has been obtaining the Blue Flag granted by the European Foundation for Environmental Education since 1992.
