Study for Leroy's Corn Shovel

The preliminary sketch of Leroy Kerschner's corn shovel was executed on location. I was chased out of the corn shed by a nasty rooster, presumably because I had trespassed on his territory. Within two weeks time I painted this small oil using the sketch as a reference, and vividly remembering my encounter with said rooster.
