1913 Pierce-Arrow

Pierce-Arrows were the finest luxury car in America in the early 1900s. Pierce-Arrows were very expensive, hand-made automobiles. Few could afford to buy Pierce-Arrows: Those who did counted themselves among the elite. Because of this, Pierce-Arrows were status symbols. Who owned Pierce-Arrows? Movie stars, royalty, politician, magnates of industrry, and those with great wealth in this country and around the world. One movie star even had his Pierce-Arrow plated in gold!

The Pierce-Arrow is very heay and well-made. It has been enjoyed by famous automobile collectors over the years before it ever found its way here. Every detail, from the shiny nickel plating to the hand applied monogram, tells the story of the quality of early 1900s automotive construction and design.

This car has New York Lights, which are attached to the frame. But later Pierce-Arrows adopted fender headlights, which were molded into the fenders to give a streamlined and stylish appearance to the car. In fact, Pierce-Arrows are known for fender headlights; it is a trademark of the brand.
