More about Pena Palace

The Pena Palace is at an altitude of 500 meters and consists of two wings. The area where the former convent was located is where the visit to the Palace begins. The rooms are small, which reveals a familiar closeness and intimacy typical of the time.

All the most impressive rooms are in the so-called new area, since it was built outside the construction area of the old Monastery. This is the formal wing, where Fernando and Maria received their visits.

The Pena National Palace was a summer residence of the Portuguese Royal Family from 1838 to 1910.

We are fully convinced that it will be an unforgettable experience.
