Leonardo da Vinci conceptualised an innovative covered cart designed for assaulting fortifications. This ingenious invention incorporated a protective cover to shield soldiers during their advance towards enemy strongholds. The cart featured a mobile and retractable roof, allowing soldiers to approach fortifications with a degree of safety. The cover, made of sturdy materials, provided a defensive barrier against arrows and projectiles while maintaining mobility. Leonardo's covered cart reflected his strategic thinking in addressing the challenges of siege warfare. Though many of Leonardo's designs were never realised in his lifetime, his covered cart concept remains a testament to his forward-thinking and solution solving.
