DEFEND THE POOR AND FATHERLESS: DO JUSTICE TO THE NEEDY AND AFFLICTED." PSALM 82:3 KJV
Throughout history, the Church has played a pivotal role in advocating for social justice. From the abolition of slavery to the civil rights movement, religious institutions have stood at the forefront of
significant societal changes.
Equity and justice are fundamental values that align closely with the teachings of Jesus Christ. The Church can speak out with considerable authority about many situations. We can challenge unjust laws and promote and defend the rights of poor people.
Through our example and leadership, we can inspire, direct and encourage other churches to take action to promote justice.
