South 4th Street has long been a thriving commercial street, with fabric-related businesses occupying many of its buildings and streetscapes--from early peddle carts to today's enduring shops. We will speak with local resident and historian Joel Spivak at this tour stop to learn more about the history of this formerly Jewish area, as well as teh South Street neighborhood, more broadly.
