We love fresh flowers! But we don't always think of the impact that those flowers have on the environment. Buying sustainably locally grown flowers from small local farms can have a positive impact on our community and the environment. By supporting small, local flower farms, we are helping to promote sustainable and ethical practices in the floral industry, including the use of organic and regenerative growing methods, reduced carbon emissions from transportation in an often global floral trade, and improved healthier conditions for our farmers, farmhands, and florists who handle the flowers. Locally grown flowers also ensure we are getting fresher, longer-lasting flowers that we can enjoy for many more days.
As the summer months approach, we may be adding others that only sell at our local farmer’s markets during the growing season.
