The white house with yellow trim, and other buildings on the left as you come up the driveway, are the Penrose-Strawbridge property. They are owned by Horsham Township and managed by the Horsham Preservation and Historical Association. The Penrose family purchased the property, including the Graeme Park side, in 1801. They built the large white farmhouse around 1810 and the associated barns in the 1830s and 1840s. From about the middle of the 1800s the Keith House stood empty. In 1920, Welsh and Margaret Strawbridge purchased the property and took up residence in the farmhouse. They used the Keith House for entertaining. In 1958 the property was threatened by expansion of the recently established Willow Grove Naval Air Station, so the Strawbridges donated the Graeme Park side to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in order to protect it.
