Founded in 1960, Casalgrande Padana was Italy’s first company to specialise in full-body, unglazed porcelain stoneware. Today, it employs more than 600 people and produces nearly 40 million square metres of tiles each year at four advanced facilities located in the heart of the world’s leading ceramics district. Its four decades of steady growth in both sales and production highlight Casalgrande Padana’s ability to adapt to market trends through outstanding innovation and quality. The company offers versatile tiles for floors and walls, suitable for high-traffic spaces, homes, service and industrial buildings, swimming pools, ventilated facades, and raised flooring systems. With over 60 years of expertise in porcelain stone, Casalgrande Padana has become a trusted resource for designers, architects, interior designers, and customers seeking specialised solutions.
Ghost porcelain stoneware now offers durable, versatile, and stylish surfaces for interiors, drawing inspiration from natural stone, marble, vintage styles, and concrete. Thanks to advanced manufacturing and large-format slabs, it suits floors, walls, countertops, islands, and tables, expanding beyond traditional tile applications. Recent innovations include integrated induction cooktops in porcelain worktops: “Silent” features a hidden extractor, multiple cooking zones, touch controls, and easy maintenance, while “Invisible” places induction beneath the slab with discreet lighting and a remote control for a minimalist look. Both models offer enhanced safety features like booster power, heat indicators, child locks, pot detection, and timers. Casalgrande Padana stoneware is also durable, non-absorbent, colorfast, heat- and abrasion-resistant, and eco-friendly, made from natural, recyclable materials using sustainable production methods.
Casalgrande Padana has launched Aquatio, its first line of bathroom furnishings and accessories made from 6 mm porcelain stoneware slabs with Bios Antibacterial® technology, available in both natural and polished finishes. With clean lines and customizable sizes, Aquatio gives architects and designers flexibility to create unique bathrooms that highlight porcelain's refined textures, soft transparencies, and elegant veining. The range features built-in single or double washbasins equipped with flap doors and slot drains, as well as countertop and freestanding truncated pyramid sinks, plus shower trays in four sizes with either channel drains or thermoformed designs. Each tray comes with a removable grate and a gently sloped surface for efficient drainage. By expanding porcelain stoneware beyond just floors and walls, Aquatio offers marble-, stone-, concrete-, and metal-inspired looks that coordinate perfectly with Casalgrande Padana tiles for either matching or contrasting styles. The material is strong, non-absorbent, fire-resistant, non-allergenic, and withstands wear and temperature changes. Thanks to the integrated Bios Antibacterial® silver-based treatment, the surfaces continuously reduce bacteria, odors, mould, yeasts, and fungi.
