The Dining Hall

As a catered college, we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, with a relaxed brunch at weekends. 

The Dining Hall is also where many of our formal events take place. Unlike some Durham colleges, Collingwood is ungowned, creating a more relaxed atmosphere. Throughout the year we host themed formals, from our Winter Solstice celebration to the occasional fancy dress event. Students book their places online, making it easy to secure a seat and enjoy an evening with friends.

This space is not just for meals. It is regularly used for a variety of college activities, and you might even spot the cheerleading team practising here between meal times.

Although Collingwood is a catered college, every accommodation floor has a fully equipped pantry with a sink, cupboards, kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave for those moments when you fancy a midnight snack.
