Shea butter

Take a closer look at this shea butter, you can use some on your hands as a rich natural moisturiser. It’s made from nuts handpicked from wild trees, dried, and manually processed for hours using methods passed down for generations to women in cooperatives that AfriKids supports.

For hundreds of years, this remarkable ingredient has been part of daily life in West Africa — used in food, medicine, and skincare. Today, it’s a global favourite, with hundreds of thousands of tonnes being exported every year for use in everything from luxury moisturisers to chocolate — and most of that comes from right here in Ghana!
